The highlight of my day is to see a child who was extremely anxious at the beginning of their dental visit leave with a big smile on their face and a proud sense of accomplishment. I love showing children that dentistry can be fun. Knowing that I have played a role in shaping the smiles of my patients is my favorite part of my job. Every child should get to experience a healthy smile!

Education

Bachelor of Science in Biology - University of California Los Angeles
Doctorate of Dental Surgery - UCLA School of Dentistry
Certificate, Combined Pediatric Dentistry and Orthodontics - UCLA School of Dentistry

As part of my dental license renewal with the state of California I complete at least 50 hours of continuing education every two years in current topics in pediatric dentistry and orthodontics. I also complete eight hours of continuing education in order to recertify my permit for Oral Conscious Sedation of the Pediatric Patient as required by the Dental Board of California.

I am board certified in Pediatric Dentistry and received my ABPD (American Board of Pediatric Dentistry) certification in 2007.

Experience

The research I completed during my residency training was published in 2005 on the cover of Investigative Ophthalmology and Visual Science.

In addition to practicing at Pediatric Dental Specialists, I am also on staff at Miller Children's Hospital, Long Beach Memorial Medical Center and St. Mary's Hospital in Long Beach, consulting on newborns with cleft lip and palate.
